Frequently Asked Questions
What is "First Team to 100"?
It's the rule of the league. No game clock, no shot clock — just play until the first team scores 100. It keeps the pace fast, the action constant, and the kids running. It's basketball the way it was meant to be played.
How do I register?
Click the registration button in the Summer section above. Registration is handled through our partner platform. You'll receive confirmation by email.
What if my child is between division ages?
We typically place players in the division matching their current grade. If you have questions about placement, reach out before registering.
Are scholarships or financial assistance available?
Yes. The Power Forward Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, partners with MP Basketball to make youth basketball accessible to all families. Contact us for information on financial assistance.
What if it rains?
League communication regarding weather will go out via TeamSnap and our social channels. Makeup dates are built into the schedule.
Do players need their own gear?
League jerseys are provided. Players should bring their own basketball shoes, water, and a basketball for warm-up. Outdoor-appropriate clothing recommended.
Can I sponsor or partner with the league?
Yes. We work with local businesses and community partners every season. Email us to discuss sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
