Development is the outcome.
Competition is the vehicle.
Built for families who value development and the right balance of fun and competition.
A program, not just a team
Your daughter isn't just joining a team. She's joining a program.
More than a team
Advanced players can play up with older girls in practice and in tournaments, except in events with grade requirements. Players practice 2–3 nights a week, with additional skills nights, extra practice time on nights and weekends, and individual work with our coaches.
Thoughtful about each player
We measure success by how much each girl grows, not by trophies. Practices are built around each player: we work on the parts of her game that need the most growth and help her break through the mental blocks and habits that hold her back. Rosters are capped at 8–9, so every girl gets real minutes and real coaching.
Continuity
For the most part, our teams stay together for three years. We'd rather build a group of girls who grow, compete and enjoy the game together than keep bringing in new players just to win tournaments. That lets us get to know each player and build a plan around her game.
Coaching & recruiting
Our coaches have coached thousands of games at the high school and AAU levels, with some college experience as well. For girls who want to play in college, we use that experience to guide them through recruiting.
This isn't a part-time job for me.
Coaching is what I do full time, and I've been doing it for 32 years — including 22 years in the same gym, where I'm now coaching my former players' kids. I've spent the past six years in AAU basketball, nearly every weekend, learning what really matters for player development. Six years as a high school girls coach and seven years coaching high school boys have shaped how I help players improve faster, have more fun, and play fearlessly and with courage.
High-level basketball, close to home
Practices are at Gwynedd Mercy Academy Elementary, SCH Academy, or a location in between, scheduled around school, homework and other sports. Your family doesn't give up every weeknight driving across the region.
Quality competition, short drives
All events are within about an hour to an hour and a half of our practice locations. Depending on each team's level, that includes events run by Hoop Group, Made Hoops and A Game — no long-distance travel every weekend.
